The Beta

Check out this short movie about me made by Atlanta filmmaker Andrew Kornylak called The Beta. It sort of tells a little bit about the story behind how I met Adam Henry, eventually moved to Chattanooga with my girlfriend Jill, and started this company – Greener Grass Publishing – which eventually led to the publication of the Horse Pens 40 Bouldering guidebook. Of course, there is a lot of the story left out, which you can read about on the About Greener Grass Publishing page if you are interested. The focus of the movie isn’t really me, it’s actually a couple of classic boulder problems at Little Rock City in Tennessee called Super Mario and The Mystery Groove, which I somehow managed to make look easier than they felt in the 98 degree heat of July when we shot this film. So, if you want to know the beta on how to climb these problems, check out the movie also. This film was released in September of 2009 I think, as a promotion for the Triple Crown Bouldering Series which takes place in the south every fall, so its sort of old news and you may have already seen it.
